Well I was at work all day, and when I came home I checked the MS website, and their downlaod servers were down for a while. I'm not sure if they'll offer any more, but http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/default.aspx will be the only site offering them. I believe it's limited to 2.5m keys. Pretty sad that a lot of keys will go out to people who are just going to gloat online, and not make a contribution to the progress of Windows 7.

I really would know, if anyone could get any key in the world? My husband sat in front of the PC one hour before opening the Server. But untill now - one day later - nothing works here in Germany. Sad to say so, but if you download the ISO with Torrent, it works fine....but..I really want to use an officially key....Where can I get some more infos about these keys???

I registered yesterday at the technet registration site, which now just says that it will soon be back online.http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/dd353205.aspxIt took me like 4 hours to got to the online form which you had to fill out. After clicking continue it told me "Server too busy".So I didn'thave a key so far, but it seems like the server accepted me before sending the too busy message.Look here for the image:http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/w7itproinstall/thread/c771909a-2482-4b50-9c8a-981341ee573a#page:2Make sureyou visit the first mentioned registriation website as often as possible, to have a chance getting a key when it's back online.Thats what I do.RegardsDennis

The keys seem to be available, and I'm not sure if anyone else noticed, but (for 64 bit) there seems to be only five keys. You can sign in and refresh and click the link over and over, and it will serve up a key each time, but only five different keys. These are the same keys that were posted on life hacker. Anyway, I'm about to install it for testing as my primary OS, so hopefully this "unique" key that Microsoft gave me (and everyone else) is legitimate. Seems like I remember this same sort of scenario with the Vista beta in summer of 06 as well. Anyway, I sure hope this works.

Well I installed it, and it activated using one of the five keys that everyone seems to have. So I guess that is the way it is supposed to work for this beta program. Good info to know I guess, which is why I'm passing that on.

Product keys are not required for Beta download but are needed within 30 days of download. Anyone who did not receive a product key during their original download, simply need to return to the download site and click the product key tab to secure an individual product key.RegardsGordon

And remember that there are 6 Keys for Windows 7 Beta 32 and 6 Keys for Windows 7 Beta 64 so once there are enough activations online it will be invalid. That's what I suspect so even if people just gloat over the windows keys that just means that if they've not been activated they are still valid to Microsoft!! No worries, they will still be there!!
