How did you "expire" 7100? (It's good until March 1, 2010, and slightly crippled until June1.)Failed to activate it within 30 days?Weird, since WGAdoesn't even support Win7 RC.You could try changing the product key and activating again. (Look near the bottom of the System control panel.)Failing that, a format and re-install will fix it. I doubt that's the advice you'd prefer.

What you are seeingcould be the result ofsystem files being tampered with or accidentally damaged or removed. Applications such as notepad, calculator and control panel will notify you that you are not running genuine software when you access them. This could be in response to an activation exploit or circumvention or a virus. A way to restore the system files which could be causing this is to open a command window and type: sfc /scannnow Another thing that could cause this is the spp notificationand software licensing services are either stoped or disabled. To fix this open the control panel, open administrative tools and finally services. Scroll to both of these services and make sure they are enabled. If the above do not work you may perform an "in place upgrade" to restore system integrity.Insert the installation dvd and proceded with setup and when given the choice to upgrade select it.If the one of the above restores system integrity, you will not recieve the notifications and sytem properties will display a genuine logo.If youthen try to validate onlineyou will still be told validation is not supported for your version and this is normal.

thx! you are right oboutsppsvc (Software Protection) - {Enables the download, installation and enforcement of digital licenses for Windows and Windows applications. If the service is disabled, the operating system and licensed applications may run in a notification mode. It is strongly recommended that you not disable the Software Protection service.} i started this service but stil popup the "genuine" notification i didn't find another one can u be more specific? i try to change the 7100 RC key! but is not working but i'm still activated!

Try inserting your DVD, and then run setup. When it asks you if you want to upgrade say yes. After this the systemfiles should be restored.Mr. Seven. A name you can trust.

"slui.exe" is the Activation Agent for Windows, and if it isn't there by default, some strange changes must have happened to your system. The safest to restore it to the original state is an "in-place upgrade" from DVD (upgrading Windows 7 to Windows 7). Also, be sure (use winver.exe) that we're really talking about RC, build 7100. Other releases - official or unofficial - may have distinct activation methods and won't work with a RC key.Mobile AMD64 3000+, VIA Apollo K8T800 chipset, 1 G RAM, ATIRadeonMobility 9700, 20x DVDRW, C:XPSP3 (55G),D:WIN7 (25G),F:DATA (250G)
