I am slowly transitioning over from XP Tablet 2005. As a student, I need to make sure that I don't suffer any downtime (example: my tablet has next day business service from HP). I'm still dual booting XP and 7, and probably will keep it that way until the
end of the school year... however, this week, all of my new notes are being taken in Windows 7.
I've yet to try other "simple" tasks... like playing a DVD. I hope I don't run into the same decoder / permissions issues that I had with Vista.
But what I have used so far, I am very happy with.

There is no such thing as Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Enterprise. There is
Windows 7 Ultimate and Windows 7 Enterprise. They both come in 32-bit
and 64-bit versions. Which one do you mean? Enterprise is a multiple
license version bought and used almost exclusively by large companies.
So I assume you mean Windows 7 Ultimate. I run Windows 7 Ultimate on
all my machines here: 64-bit on this one, and 32-bit on my laptop and
on my wife's computer, since neither has a 64-bit CPU. It's been just
fine on all of these computers as well as on the many other computers
I support.

you meant ultimate? Enterprise is impossible to obtain except if you buy it for several computers in a company/your business. basically it is identical to ultimate, except licencing and support (ultimate has 5 years support, enterprise has 10 years support
since the release), and some features hidden in enterprise, such as games.
my experience? rather good, compared to Vista ultimate. I had a terrible experience with vista (I am not just copying what people said, but I did experience it myself). seven is a really huge improvement, and quick. with vista, I have to keep XP side by
side in dual boot config (not virtualisation). With seven, I threw away my native XP installation, and use XP mode only for 16-bit programme or those that don't run in seven
this is ultimate 64-bit (Full product)
also have Home Basic 32-bit (one full licence and one OEM - there is no upgrade edition for Home Basic as it is only sold in certain countries with cheap price, and can be activated only in certain region - this is one downside. once I tried to activate
this in UK and failed), and two home premium full licences.

Yes, I like it a lot better than vista
OS , For one thing is its truly operational backward compatibility feature. It can really run most non-win7 compliant programs using its compatibility mode.CESabarre

I have one that has both 32 bit and 64 bit and have it working fine on 2 computers and it is win 7 ultimate version Enterprise, made in USA

If your version is working, fine. But please don't insist in this "win 7 ultimate version Enterprise". As you said in your first post, you purchased an OS "with activation key" - Windows 7 Enterprise has another activation system (KMS or MAK, both
only available via Volume Licensing channels)."192 GB ought to be enough for anybody." (from the miniseries "Next Generation's Jokes")

It is not. Check again. As I said in my previous message, there is
no such thing. It's either Ultimate or Enterprise, and unless you are
a large company, it won't be Enterprise.
Moreover if you have a single copy installed on two computers, you are
in violation of your license. Except for Enterprise, you get a license
to use it on only one computer.
