win7 not running with 802.11b
I'm running an old wireless a/brouter.I was able to connect to 802.11b with vista, with no problems. With windows 7, i have had no end to the trouble. Gone through2 otherNICs to finally have to buya linksys wmp54gto geta signal. However it sees the signal as a G signal, not aB. and will not connect, even with correct WEP keys. What's going on, and how can i get 802.11 B working on it?pls help. The other cards i tried, are an airlink usb key, and a Dlink G520+. The dlink dies when the drivers try loading. the Airlinkdoes not have signed drivers, and will not go.My sys is a c2q6600, Abit ip35pro, ATI 4850, 2gb Corsair ram, 250gbWD HD. with wireless card. nothin else. Thanks
