Hi,
I would like to confirm the following questions first:
Why do you need to reinstall the driver?
What do you mean of wifi drivers are getting disabled?
Can you check the device in device manager?
All of this is to make this issue clear, thanks for your effort.
Hi
This problem seems unique to windows 8 and manifests itself in a variety of ways but the common symptoms are:
- intermittent wifi either after sleep, restart or random intervals and the dreaded yellow triangle over your wifi icon
and
- sudden new instances of network adapters in your Device Manager (looks something like this: WAN Miniport (network monitor) #2, WAN Miniport ... #3, Microsoft ISATAP Adapter #2 etc.) some of which will have the status "not working correctly"
and you cannot delete/unistall them - at least not in any easy way.
It is reccomended that one change their power options and adapter settings so that windows can't disable the wifi to save power... but the problem persists and it doesn't explain why new instances of network adapters keep appearing in the device manager
list.
Removing the new driver instances is the only way to resolve the problem - but its temporary, cause after a while (weeks) the problem comes back. Which it did for me today, I noticed that little yellow triangle when I opened the laptop (lenovo B590) lid today
and when I looked in the device manager list there it was - a new instance of the MS ISATAP Adapter. Which is why I back here surfing once again for a possible permanent solution.
