where is the windows address book?
I have setup Blackberry Desktop Manager 4.7 to sync with outlook express, and it works. I cannot find this file though. I do not have Outlook installed, and these contacts are not in Windows Live Mail either. Where is the address book?

hi!unfortunately windows 7 removed the address book app, you may install a third party software to do the trick though

Actually... I beleve it's still there. If you search "Windows Contacts", you're lead to a folder called Contacts under your User ID folder. It appears that contacts are no longer in a database form - but are stored more along the lines of individual files. There is a menu item that allows you to add contacts, add/edit information about them, etc..

if im not mistaken, windows contacts replaced windows address book during vista era. im not sure though if you can import/ sync files with devices. i agree with wolfie2k6 that windows uses a different format for contacts, however windows can convert various file formats when importing.

HiIt's not clear exactly what you are trying to do?If you have been using Outlook Express in Windows XP, you need to use the File/Export in outlook express to export the windows address book. You then need to import this file into the Windows 7 Contacts folder orWindows Live Mail.I'm not familiar with the Blackberry desktop manager that you mentioned. Please give us some more details.Thank You for testing Windows 7 Ronnie Vernon MVP
