99% of that problem deals with a hardware compatibility issue.If you recently added hardware,check its installation,if not,then a failure might be at hand.....

check the drop down that shows up when u shut down. it has options to shut down , restart, stand by, etc.u might be ignoring the drop down option._____________________________________________when u boot ur pc press F8 to go to advanced menu and select Disable auto startup at system failurenow when u r logged on , shut downinstead oif resarting it will show an error on blue screen, post itVibhor Agarwal
