when i boot my computer im presented with two windows xp options and im invited to click on one of them i only want one to be active and erase the other one

Hi Shaz888Right click my computer, Click Properties > Advanced > Settings of " Startup and Recovery " > From the drop down arrow select the bootable windows XP you wish to start > Type "0" Zero instead of 30 in the field " Time to display list of operating systems > Hit Ok.Good Luck If this post solved your issue please check the answered mark in this page. It will not correct the boot.ini file. @Shaz888The proper way to correct the boot.ini file, which is responsible for showing the boot options is as below.Click Start > Run > type msconfig > press Enter. In the System Configuration window click on the Boot.ini tab > Check All Boot Paths button. Any invalid boot paths will then be displayed and you will be given the option to delete the invalid path.
