The Windows 7 Beta will cease working on August 1st 2009. You will need to re-install with either the Release Candidate or a another OS such as Vista. Please Propose as Answer if appropriate

You will be able to try the upgrade to the RC orRTM from the beta. The results, of course, are as unknown as any result in a beta. Installing clean is always best, but it's likely that Vista or the beta will be good platforms to upgrade to the final version. Another beta version should be available before the current build expires. A Release candidate is due for public release probably by the end of May (although this time frame may change.) Current recommendation for the RC version is a 'clean install' rather than an upgrade from build 700 to the RC build. If you still have the current build (build 7000) by Aug 1st then this build will stop working and you will need to re-install Windows XP or Vista depedning upon what operating system you had installed prior to joining the beta; however, as i've said, a new public beta should be available before we get anytwhere near the expiration date of Aug 1.John Barnett MVP: Windows XP Associate Expert: Windows Desktop Experience: Web: http://www.winuser.co.uk; Web: http://xphelpandsupport.mvps.org; Web: http://vistasupport.mvps.org;

You can always try Windows Easy Transfer. Just initialise the Windows easy Transfer wizard on Windows 7 build 7000 and save the Mig file to either a removable hard drive or a USB flash drive (assuming you have one large enough). Once the files and setting etc have been saved do a clean install of the new build of Windows 7 and then run the windows easy transfer application again only this time designating the new Windows 7 build as your 'new computer'John Barnett MVP: Windows XP Associate Expert: Windows Desktop Experience: Web: http://www.winuser.co.uk; Web: http://xphelpandsupport.mvps.org; Web: http://vistasupport.mvps.org;
