Hi grandmomof6, 1. Did you try to burn any CD\DVD through Windows media player (WMP) recently and then the issue started?2. What version of WMP is installed on the machine? Make sure that there are no files in Windows Explorer or notification area shows as waiting for burning. If so, delete the cached files and then try to restart Windows Media Player and check.a. Open Windows explorer and Right click on CD\DVD driveb. Click on open and check whether you have an option some files are waiting to be burned or to be written.c. If so right click on that option and select delete. Hope this information is helpful.Praseetha KMicrosoft Answers Support EngineerVisit ourMicrosoft Answers Feedback Forumand let us know what you think. If this post helps to resolve your issue, please click the "Mark as Answer" or "Helpful" button at the top of this message.
