what is using port 80?
I'm having a tad of a problem. I am using Pyrenean eDexter on my Vista Home Basic system and at random times, eDexter will just stop working...and I'll be greeted with the "page cannot be displayed" errors of old, on ad-laden pages I've talked to the developer and he doesn't quite know yet, but he thinks it might be Vista setup to run IIS or something....so, my question is how can I disable this? He's instructed me on how to disable IPv6 since I don't use that since he thought that may be the problem too. I mean, right now eDexter is working fine, but at random it'll just stop working.

If you do netstat -ao at the command line it will show you the process id (pid) that is listening on port 80. You can then use this to identify the program using task manager or process explorer.

the PID match points to "System" in taskman...not an actual process though.
