I have a web site that has a Linux operating system and I am trying to download it so I can get connected. What I need or think I need is a web server that works on Windows that will download my site. I have Vista Home Premiun and in my view this sytem is not any good. Because you can,t do anything with this system but play games. What do you mean by "download this"? Are you trying to open it in a browser? That's easy enough - Internet Explorer 8, Firefox 3.6, Chrome...lots of choices. Or do you mean you want to edit the website? To edit it you'll need website editing software. Expression or something else. Let's try to unravel it... You have a website. It's hosted on a Linux server (Apache, I'm guessing). So far so good? Your website is actually connected to the Internet - hosted by GoDaddy or some other ISP perhaps? You have an address for it like "yourdomain.com" right? What you want to be able to do is edit that website - create new pages, edit existing pages, correct? To do that you would need website editing software - Windows Vista Home Premium is an operating system, not an website editing program. Hi What I am trying to say that I have purchase a domain from GODADDY and purchase a website from Hostgator. I have Comcast as my ISP. My Domain name is online-internet-business-strategies-bjhuffman2.com. Now Hostgator uses a Linux Operating system which Gateway and Microsoft does not recognize. My website is on the internet but I can,t use it only to put a blog on it because I have WordPress and it will work. Hostgator has a web disk that I need to be able to connect with so I can use my files on it. Lets say in order for my web to come alive WHAT DO I NEED? I may sound confusing whenI am writing but I am for real. I hope this is clear. The Linux Operating System Hostgator is using is CentOS5.
