Hi, For the network ports that Webcam used in Windows Live Messenger, please refer to the following KB: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=927847 Besides that, please double confirm the following points: 1. Is the Webcam device compatible with Windows Vista? You may confirm it in the Windows Vista Hardware Compatibility List website (http://winqual.microsoft.com/HCL/Default.aspx?m=v) 2. Is the webcam device using the latest driver? 3. Is the exception for Windows Live Messenger enabled on Windows Firewall Settings? Are there any other firewalls interfering with the conversation of Windows Live Messenger. If you would like to obtain more information about Windows Live Messenger, you may submit request to MSN Newsgroup: http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.msn.messenger&cat=en_US_c5125da0-f050-4dce-90f2-5bd35b00ba4a&lang=en&cr=US For Yahoo Messenger, I suggest contacting Yahoo directly for more information. Hope it helps. Have a nice weekend. Sincerely, Joson Zhou Microsoft Online Community Support
