Call admission control (CAC) is a solution that determines whether a real-time session can be established based on the available bandwidth to help prevent poor audio/video quality for users on congested networks. CAC controls real-time traffic only for audio and video, and does not affect data traffic. CAC may route the call through an Internet path when the default WAN path does not have the required bandwidth

Could you clarify, you want users in other offices that have their Lync accounts in the India office to connect via the Edge role, rather than connecting internally over MPLS?

Hi Greg,

we have one location in Thai that location we have two links 1. MPLS and 2.Internet

Intranet user connect through MPLS to India and if anyone make call to internet people so its connect through internet router to my edge server.

so I want to route all calls from internet rather than MPLS. I want to do maximum use of internet rather than MPLS

Is it possible?

please help me

Hi,

It is possible to login externally through Edge Server instead of login internally. It then similar for the Lync Multitenant Hosting Pack.

However, if all Lync workload through Edge Server and Reverse Proxy, you need to consider the Internet network bandwidth.

Please refer to the link about the network bandwidth requirement for Lync Server 2013:
