Are your using any network equipment? You might need to change settings to get it working. Check port 139 to make sure its open. Also make sure the VPN components are installed for the network card. Also make sure the networking is set for corporate. Vote if answered or helpful, I am running for Office (joke)! Hi, Please also try the following method: You may be unable to access the network when name resolution is performed through a VPN connection on a Windows XP-based or on a Windows Server 2003-based client computer Hope this helps. Thanks. Nicholas Li - MSFT

Hi I encountered the issue too. When connect to a network via VPN from a Win7, the client places the VPN server first in the DNS server list. The Network DNS server is second and thus name resolution doesnt work. In difference to Win XP, even unchecking the "default gateway for remote networks" checkbox doesnt help. So far, I couldnt find any solution for this. Does anybody know if that is an issue that Microsoft has on its radar and I can hope for a fix, or am I just plain stupid and cant set it up right? Regards, Andre

Thanks. Nicholas Li - MSFT Does this also apply to Windows 7. If so update the support site, if not read the question properly.
