Hi spadesace, we cannot bypass administrator to share a folder by using standard user in Windows Vista. Windows Vista will not allow standard users share the folder and administrative permission is needed to share files on a network. You can set a public folder to share files/folders.

hi sean zhu, it seem that bypass is impossible... hmmm...i also notice that UAC disable the Power User group... the other optionto share folder is to disable the UAC. is therea way we can use power user group with UAC enable?

Spadesace, yes, that needs Administrative permission and Power User group does not have such permission. It seems to me you have to disable UAC or use public share in this scenario.
