Hi, First, I suggest checking the network connectivity between the two Windows Vista machines by performing the following steps: 1. Temporarily turn off the firewall on both machines. 2. On one of the Windows Vista machine, open Command Prompt, type ping IPAddressofTheOtherVistaMachine, and press Enter. 3. Repeat the step 2 on the other Windows Vista machine. If the above command is successful, it indicates the network connectivity between the Windows Vista machines is good. In this case, I suggest contacting the Rea Alert manufacturer for further assistance on how to play the game among Windows Vista machines. The professionals there are more qualified to assist you. If the above command fails, please let me know the exact wording of the error message. In addition, please understand that IPX is no longer supported in Windows Vista. Therefore, if IPX is required to play Red Alert, please ask the manufacture for a Windows Vista compatible Version of this software. Hope the information is helpful.
