vista computer wont detect another vista computer on my network
well i have a windows vista desktop computer and a windows vista laptop too.at first they could easily connect with each other through the network and share files and such.however, i went to a relative's house and had trouble connecting to their network with my laptop (attempting to share files through their network). eventually some how i was able to finally access their vista laptop through their network (which was probably a fluke) and shared files. Anyhow, i went back home and connecting to my vista desktop stopped working.help would be appreciated thank you.

Hi, Have you changed any settings on your laptop? If so, please change the settings back. If no settings were changed or the issue persists after original settings are back, please temporary disable the anti-virus and firewall. Then check the result. If the issue still occurs, please follow the steps below to reinstall the network adapter driver. 1. Click Start. In the Start Search box type "devmgmt.msc" and press Enter. 2. Expand "Network Adapters", double-click on the entry of the wireless network device. 3. Click the tab "Driver", click "Uninstall". 4. Click Start. In the Start Search box type "appwiz.cpl" and press Enter. 5. Remove the entries related to the wireless network adapter. 6. Reinstall the driver with your driver CD. Is the issue resolved? If access still does not work, please let me know if you could access the desktop computer by clicking Start, enter the IP address of the desktop computer in the Start Search box and press Enter. \\IP address of the desktop If there is any error, please let me know the exact message. Additionally, please let me know if you could access Internet and your router properly. Please let me know if you have enabled the Guest account. Also let me know the versions of the two systems.
