I'm trying to network aVista home basic with a Win2000 machine - simple file sharing, nothing fancy.... it doesn't even see it in the workgroup....argh....

of course. there is no error. it does not appear in the network at all. workgroup config is right, i see other vistas, i see other xp's when I download / install the LLDL, but the file server does not appear in any way. the win2k machine can see the vista machines through the network neighborhood...... does that help diagnose? thanks for your help. craig
