view contents of 100mb system reserved partition
I have W7 Professional x64 installed on my laptop. I am curious where the bootmgr file is located. I cannot see it on the root of the C: drive, even with 'Folder Options' set to view hidden and system files. I do have a 100mb system reserved partition, visible in disk management. Some research on Google suggests this is where bootmgr may be located. My questions: 1. Should a W7 Pro installation have the system reserved partition (its a Sony OEM install)? 2. How do I view the contents of the system reserved partition? (I am nosy/curious) Thanks for any help, Anastas

1. Yes. This is the automatic default when Windows 7 is installed on a clean disk. 2. If you want to see the contents, go to Disk Management and assign a drive letter to the partition. I suggest you remove the drive letter after viewing the contents.
