view/decrypt files that i encrypted before a system restore.
I recently started encrypting my sensitive files thinking they would be more secure. today i finally ended up doing a system restore including reformatting the partition holding windows, and now i can't view or access or decrypt any of my files. there has to be a way, but i can't find it anywhere. any information would be greatly appreciated.1 person needs an answerI do too

Did you follow correct protocol for encryption and back up your keys somewhere else? If not, the data is gone forever and you might as well delete the files. There is no backdoor to EFS encryption. You can try contacting the Elcomsoft people to see if their application can retrieve your files as a last resort. http://tinyurl.com/6l6xx - MS information about EFS (Encryption) http://www.elcomsoft.com/aefsdr.html - Encrypted files retrieval application MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
