Hello, I encounter VB 740 whenever i try to do windows update for vista sp2 also. I just redid the computer back to its factory shipping condition and am still experiencing this problem all over again. My antivirus can get rid of it but it keeps popping up whenever i try to do the download. This is what it says on the antivirus C:Windows\Software Distribution\Download\Install. It also gives an error code: Code 5. I am using Moon Secure Antivirus.
