hi, i have a toshiba windows7 home premium laptop and for over a week now i hav been unable to log in..the user is the administrative one but when i click to log in this message comes up: 'the user profile service failed the logon. user profile cannot be loaded.' my family and i cannot access our documents or anythin on the laptop and dont want to reboot the computer as this would cause us to lose evrything on there..please help! how can we get on? thank you

What do you mean a reboot will erase all your data? Or did you mean reload? That may be your only option. Anyway, you could try this: Boot the computer into Safe Mode. Login (this should create a temporary profile for the user). Create a new Administrative user (don't name it "Administrator"). Reboot and login as the new user. Move all the files from the old user to the new user (except the files that begin with NTUSER). Once you're sure everything is working correctly you can delete the old user.
