user profile: account unknown roaming
SYstem > User Profiles > Settings I have "lost" my user profile after I switched from domain to workgroup. There is now a user profile "account unknown" with the modified date of today (so I assume this is it). How do I recover this as my previous User Profile as I can't seem to change the name.1 person needs an answerI do too

Hi,You are now part of a Domain, your user account will now not have admin rights.Talk to the Domain Admin helpdesk and they will transfer your Workgroup profile to the new Domain profile.Your Workgroup user name should be access by going to,Start - My Computer - C:\ drive - double click to open - Documents and Settings - your username folder.IT Help staff will unhide hidden folders and copy your Application Data, My Documents , Desktopand Favorites to your Domain user account Folder.Slan go foill, Paul

thanks Paul. All done successfully. The only issue is that the Outlook pst will not open after I copied it. The email account was using the Google Apps sync and can't get it to open that file. SCott
