Create a new user account and take ownership of the data files in the old account. Then copy the data to the new user account. After you have everything you need, delete the old user account. Since your computer was infected and you didn't do a clean install, make sure the computer is really clean: http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware Take Ownership of a File or Folder in Windows XP [Q308421] - http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=308421 How Do I Get the Security tab in Folder Properties? - http://www.dougknox.com/xp/tips/xp_security_tab.htm MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
