OK. 1 Win 2003 environment for AD 2. new laptop running Win 7 Pro 64 3. joined network as per normal 4 can login is ad AD.Local\administrator 5 when trying to login as any other user, get the Waiting circle forever ( have left for up to 1 hr) 6. creates c:\users\xxx directories (new for each new login attempt)

3 hours.... and it finally worked
