user account was denied access
I am using my 32 bit vista laptop and trying to access files on a 64 bit windows 7. this is the error i am getting: 1st window: Network Error - Windows cannot access \\computername\foldername Check the spelling of the name. Otherwise, there might be a problem with your network. To try to identify and resolve network problems, click Diagnose. Details: Error code: 0x80070005 Access is denied. Windows Network Diagnostics Window: "FolderName" is available but the user account that you are logged on with was denied access - Windowws cannot further diagnose the problem because network diagnostic does not know the user name and passwod that is required to connect to the shared folder. Make sure you typed the path correctly and you have permission to access the shared folder. If you are trying to access the shared folder with a user name and password that is different from what you used to log on to this computer, ensure that you have entered them correctly. Click for more information about permission. HELP

check the shared folder properties on the folder that contains the files you are tryin to access on the windows 7 system. whichever the case, unshare the folder(s) on the windows 7 system. now rightclick the folder(s), select share, when prompted for "PEOPLE YOU WANT TO SHARE THIS FOLDER WITH:" type everyone, change the permission level to co-owner. then try to access the files in the folder again.
