user account program corruptred and files disappearing
I use my second user account primarily and my documents such as letters and addresses in micro soft works is disappearing. Folders have disappeared also. I do a search on the hard drive and there is no information. In microsoft works history the information is there but when you click on a file it states that the file has been deleted. I do use virus protection and the scans show nothing. When I load a program from a cd-rom the program runs fine on the adminstrative account but errors show up on the secondary user account...whats wrong?1 person needs an answerI do too

It is possible that your user profile became corrupted. When that happens, Windows creates a new profile for you and when you log in, it looks like a fresh desktop of a new user. Files stored in the user profile (under "My Documents") will be missing as well. If you start Explorer and look in the "C:\Documents and Settings" directory, you will probably see a folder with your problem user name on it and contains your old files (call it "user") and perhaps another folder that has the same user followed by a dot and perhaps the computer name (like "user.computer") which represents the recovery profile that the system made. If this is what you see, the following article should help you to recover:"How to recover the damaged user profile in Windows XP" < http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555473 >HTH, JW
