There is a user named "Administrator" built into Windows that can't be deleted. Assuming that you have never assigned a password to this account that you can't remember, you can log into this account and use it to either create another user with administrative privilege or give your account its administrative privilege back. There are two ways to access this account. The first is to boot into Safe Mode (Press F8 repeatedly as computer boots) and then it will reveal the "administrator" user. Leave the password blank unless you know it to be different. The second way is to press Alt-Ctrl-Del twice at your normal login screen. Then type "Administrator" in the user box and leave the password box blank. The following procedure is for resetting a forgotten password but is essentially the same for making any alterations to user accounts:"Forgotten your Windows XP Home password? - Part 3: Setting a new password as an administrator" < http://support.microsoft.com/kb/894902 >HTH, JW

To create a duplicate of an user profile with a different user name, try this:Create a new user account from Control Panel User Accounts applet Logon to that account to initialize the newly created profile and log off Login as Administrator (built-in Administrator account) Open Control Panel System applet Click the Advanced tab Click Settings under User Profiles Select a profile to copy from and choose "Copy To" Type or browse to the profile to copy to (C:\Documents and Settings\username) A new profile is now created which is the duplicate of your user profile.Dale May
