use local CD/DVD Drive from remote desktop
Hello, I have a problem related to CD/DVD over Remote Desktop Connection. Client: Windows 7 Pro (32-bit) SP1 Japanese / Remote: Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit) SP1 English (VM) "DVD Drive" is displayed in MyComputer as "Devices with Removable Storage" on the remote desktop. So I thought I successfully configured to access the local optical drive from the local desktop. I inserted a CD-ROM and double-clicked the drive icon, then 2 message box were displayed, "Insert a disk" and "An error occurred while ejecting 'DVD Drive (E:)'". My goal is to burn CD-Rs from the application on the remote computer. Could anyone guess how I can solve this problem? Any suggestion is appreciated.

Your local CD drive is seen as a shared drive by the remote machine, not as a CD drive. It is not possible for the remote machine to burn a CD on the local machine. The burning program must always run on the machine where the physical CD drive is installed.
