usbehci keeps making my ports restart while my computer is on...

Can someone help me...  My ports restart while my computer is on.  Here is some information.

Hi,

This issue seems to be related to heavy load on attached USB devices on a Windows 8 machine. It also might be related to your chipset or certain USB device. Lots of users reported that this issue normally happens on motherboard with AMD chipset.

Best thing to do is unplug all of the usb devices, (including mouse+keyboard), choose a device, plug it in, restart, and wait for this issue. I would try the USB wifi adapter or external storage device first.

Something else you may want to consider as a more basic step is to open Device Manager, select your USB hubs and USB devices, right click and select Properties, select the Power Management tab, and uncheck the box for Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
