Recently I was having problem with my usb ports not reading 2 usb hardrives. I listened to someone here that said to remove each usb driver from device manager and reboot. Now when I reboot the system there is a minute or more pause after I enter my password. It used to jump right to the metro start.

Any suggestions? tia

When this problem occurs, is these two drive connected to the computer? 

Have you made change to your system except uninstall the USB driver? Generally speaking, USB driver would be installed automatically after it is removed.

On the other hand, please check Windows Startup Items in Task Manager if there is any new items was added.

You can try to disable these items temporarily for test.

If problem persists, please feel free let me know.
