just to get straight to the point i seem to have a major problem with my pc it doesn't allow me to install any anti virus/ security software i have tried nearly all i can think of, first thing i tried .. i did extensive research on the problem and decided it may be a maleware infection so i attempted to install malwarebytes programm it installed succescfully but refused to run with the following message "run-time error 339 component "vbalsgrid6.ocx" or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid" after doing abit of research i tried the following fix where i renamed the download and went into the program files showed all the hidden files and attempted to rename all the .exe files but it wouldn't let me re name any of them it just seems to stay the same so i gave up on that area. i noticed that my disk backup feature kept continuously reporting failed due to there being insufficient memory on my hard drive also on my connection status icon it seems to say the same thing when i mouse over it " not enough storage is available to complete this operation. this is untrue ofc as i have over 60g free space remaining i followed up on this issue and attempted to fix it. following this error code 0x800700E i went on this site http://www.fixwindowserror.net/fix-0x800700e and followed their advice but to no avail but the installation of the driver update failed with the following message The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel for assistance. in an attempt to resolve this i run Services.msc but it was blank...sigh and so i set out to try figure that problem out tried a fix but got a error coded 0x80004005 i gave up on that and decided to try kaspersky online scanner but it failed to update tried a few times till i gave up and moved to Norton power eraser it founf something i removed it but none of my problems went away. so far i do not have a anti virus software as i uninstalled it to try install trend micro security but that failed and when i tried to get mcafee back it failed to install too all i have is spybot snd pc tools spyware doctor and windows firewall as my defense :O please help in any way possible also i cant run a sfc scan it keep saying could not start the repair service ect (run cmd as admin) pc is a dell dimension e521 vista 32 bit more info available if needed
