upgrading Win 7 32bit to 64bit
I have win 7 32bit installed. I have two computers, I have a 64bit upgrade disk that came with it and a serial number. I want to use it to upgrade my machines 32bit to 64bit. Is this possible? and I have not used the 64bit upgrade disc on anything else yet. Thank you Jeff

The OEM 64 bit upgrade disk is only good for the PC it came with. A 64 bit upgrade on a windows 7 32 bit install must be a clean install. You will have to reinstall all your programs. You can use Windows Easy Transfer to copy most of your data and program configuration information. Jerry

Are you asking whether you can use the 32-bit DVD on one computer and the 64-bit one on another? If so, sorry, but you may not. You bought one license, not two. You get two DVDs so you can one or the other, not both. Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP
