We had to have a new hard drive put in our Dell XPS desktop. When it was returned it came back with Windows 7 the original operating system. I then put in Windows 8 Pro went to the store to put in the 8.1 upgrade (this is what was in the old hard drive)

It is a 1tb hard drive so it is capable of handling the upgrade. After many many hours a attempts I cannot the updates to load.

I keep getting a failure to upgrade message. So far there are 179 updates and I will not be able to upgrade to Windows 10 unless we can get this to work.

I followed some thing I read and so far nothing works. Could you please tell me how to fix this issue.

Please send me a link or something to make this work.
