jneparks,A little more information would be helpful. Is there an error message? Have you looked in the Event Log to see if there are errors in there?

First, you have to make sure that you have an internet connection. If you do have an internet connection, the most common would be error code# 80070003. If that is indeed the error code that you are getting then that means the Temporary files for Windows Updates are corrupted and need to be deleted, do do this:Start>Run> type in msconfig. Next, click on the Boot tab and then check the box below for Safe boot, then click Apply then OK. You'll get a message box to Restart and Exit without Restart. Click on Restart and that will reboot your system back up with a minimun amount of drivers and Services (Safe Mode). Log in to Windows, then navigate to the C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution folder and double-click the SoftwareDistribution folder. Double-click on the DataStore folder and delete the DataStore.ebd file. Double-click on the Logs folder and delete all the files in there. Click the Back arrow at the toptill you get back to the SoftwareDistribution folder. Double-click on the Download folder and delete any files and folders you have in there. Click the Back arrow again to get back to the SoftwareDistribution folder again. Double-click on the EventCache folder and delete any files that are in there. Now you are done deleting all thenecessary files.Next: Start>Run type in msconfig again (msconfig might still be in the Run box). Again with the Boot tab go and uncheck the Safe boot checkbox. Then click Apply, then OK, then Restartand that will reboot your system back into Normal Mode. And that's it. You should be able to run Windows Updates with no errors, assuming that you do have an internet connection.Note: you will not see any history of updates. Don't be alarmed. You'll have to re-hide any previously hidden updates. Windows Update will detect any other updates that it had installed previously and will update your history as well.GA P35 DQ6 Mb, Intel Wolfdale 8600 3.33Ghz C2D CPU., 4x2Gb Mushkin DDR2 1066 PC2 8500 Ascents Memory Mods., PNY-nVidia GE Force 8800 GTS (640MB), 4-Western Digital Caviar SATA(2) HDD's (internal), 1 EIDE-USB External; Hauppauge PVR 1600 TV tuner, Dual Monitor: (1) Standard up top, (1) WideScreen below; Altec Lansign Speakers...
