My calculator keeps popping up...or a website will open up automatically, or my volume control keeps muting itself. I have run ms malicious software tool, ran my antivirus, (avast), ran spybot, adware, and chkdsk to no avail. I also ran hijackthis and cant see anything unusual. This happens every 10-15 minutes. There is nothing in "run" or 'runonce' in my registry. Im getting dirty looks from the wife cuz its her computer. Can anyone suggest something else I can try?. I searched for remedies and got everything from...check to see you monitor isnt sitting on your keyboard...to..did you spill a drink on your keyboard lately. 1. If you are using a wireless mouse/keyboard, put fresh batteries in. If this takes care of the problem, you're done. 2. If you have two computers using wireless mice/keyboards, change the wireless channel on one of them (if possible). 3. If #1 and #2 aren't applicable, replace first the mouse and test.
