I have a Compaq laptop with window 7 home premium 64 bit pre installed. I was connected to my work wireless network and suddenly after installing final media player and a security update for window i lost connection and received unidentified network and no internet access i tried system restore, uninstalling the player, disabling enabling the the wireless adapter and uninstalling then reinstalling the driver but to no avail. can anyone tell me what to do thank you

You don't say which media player it was, but I suspect it installed the Bonjour service; you need to disable or remove it.
