They aren't hidden, but they're unchecked by default, like IE9 and SP1.

Some updates have dependancies so that is why they are not checked. If you have all other updates installed then install SP1 first follwed by IE9 and if needed Microsoft Security Essentials Windows MVP, paid Remote Assistance is available for XP, Vista and Windows 7. Is there a way not to run 'mscorsvw.exe' after a .net update?

That is an important component, do not worry about it. Generally its a good idea to reboot frequently to be sure that the machine is running well.
