I am unable to send attatchments through any email. the message that pops up says that the file may be corrupt. i don't know how to fix this. perhaps i need an upgrade. i don't know. i think it may be the software. i don't know how to fix that either.

It sounds as if some other software may be blocking it. Check for antispyware or antivirus interference by temporarily disabling any such software on your machine.
