unable to remove network bridge.
I'm trying to remove a Network Bridge and am having some difficulty. I removed the bridge by right clicking on both of them when they were highlighted but the Network Bridge symbol is still there. If I right click on both network connections, again, when they're both highlighted, I don't see an option to remove the bridge - the only thing of relevance that I see is "Bridge Connections". Presumably that means they're not bridged (since it's asking me if I want to bridge them), yet the Network Bridge icon still shows up. I right click on the Network Bridge, click Disable, and get a "It is not possible to disconnect at this time. The connection is currently busy with a connect or disconnect operation.". I don't know why it's busy with such an operation, given that I never explicitly initiated one and given that, as elaborated above, it seems to be disconnected, but whatever. If the connection is active, how would I go about stopping whatever activity is present? I've tried rebooting to no avail. I also tried to right and Delete the Network Bridge, but when I do, I get "An unexpected error occurred while configuring the Network Bridge." Finally, would my seemingly unremovable network bridge prevent internet connection sharing on one of the two connections that may or may not be involved in the bridge? If I click on the Advanced tab of my "Local Are Connection", I don't see the "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection" checkbox...1 person needs an answerI do too

Hi terrafrost, Thanks for posting. If you go to device manager and expand the network adaptors - right click on the MAC Miniport Bridge and select uninstall, the icon in Network Connections should be gone. Hope this helps.Shawn - Support Engineer - MCP, MCDST Microsoft Answers Support Engineer Visit our Microsoft Answers Feedback Forum and let us know what you think
