unable to open Drive in Window 7
I am not able to open the f:\ (f drive ) it got alot of important data inside it. The Problem am Facing is cause with upgarde my OS window XP Professional service pack 2 to Window 7 ultimate edition. now whenever i try to open that my drive its Show me an Error File System Unrecognised or Corrupted.and Ask me Format it. File System for Windows 7 · File system in Windows XP ... Unrecognised file system error message Please help me to get out of it.

Try running command prompt as administrator,type in sfc/scannow,then enter.This is a file checking program. Another idea is uninstall device driver then let win. update reinstall.

Try to run a Chkdsk to drive f: go to Run and write "cmd" and next write "chkdsk f: \x \f \r" (without quotas) good luck I want to be a MVP! | Computer Technician

Is the partition F on the same hard drive with all other partitions? How did you create these partition? I suspect that the partition is created with third party tool that is not compatible with Windows 7, so Windows 7 cannot recognize the partition table. You may boot in Win RE, launch Command Prompt, copy the whole partition to another partition with the command Copy as backup. Then boot in system, format that partition, or remove the partition, re-create it. Arthur Xie - MSFT
