unable to login ADMIN acct after changing SID
i also have exactly the same problem as to what you guys are posting it here! im using ACEr and i cannot d system recovery nor do i have recovery discs included with this notebook!! is there in any way i could restore my account? i tried to modifythe account name of this Guest accton regEdit but i failed.. Guys,please help me.

Please update us as to exactly what your situation is as threads change positions all the while and hence its difficult to comprehend which thread you are referring to. Basically I understand that you cannot logon as an Administrator. Have you tried going into safe mode (Hold down F8.Pardon me if you already knew that) then you should see either administrator or another user account with administrative rights. Log on as either and once you do that, go into computer management (right click my computer-> manage) then goto users and groups. You will see that in the Users section, Administrator is disabled (Right click on administrator and properties) Enable that and restart your computer. What essentially happens is that by default, the local admin account gets disabled once you sysprep or newsid it or use any such application either through Ghost or Altiris or any similar application.
