Hello, RichardVerify that your user account is in the Administrator group by going to Start, right click My Computer and select Manage. On the new window, select Local Users and Groups, Users, double click your user name and go to the Member Of tab. Check if Administrators and Users are both in the list, if not click add and select the group that is missing. If it is there, try creating a new administrator account and test if it works on that or not, if it does you have a corrupt profile. You can quickly create a new account by right clicking a blank area of the Computer Management screen that lists all the user accounts and select New Account.See the following link on how to copy your files over to a new account to fix the corrupt profile:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/811151DavidMicrosoft Answers Support EngineerVisit our Microsoft Answers Feedback Forum and let us know what you think.
