unable to change password on domain
Hello All, a strange situation, one of the user on my network with Vista Business is unable to reset his domain password. The error is "unable to update the password. the value provided for the new password does not meet the length". I can confirm that it meets all the required default domain password policy. Secondly, If I give user option from server to change his password on next logon than he can change it with the same password (on which we were getting errors before). I am using Windows Vista Business (32 bit, all latest updates installed). Windows Server 2008 R2. Thanks

Hi, Only this user encounters this issue? This issue can be caused by the corrupted profile. What about to reset this account to check this issue?Sabrina TechNet Community Support

Please test if you can change this user's password on another computer with the same new password. Also run rsop.msc to check if the password policy has been applied.Sabrina TechNet Community Support
