uTorrent and Windows 7
When I run uTorrent in Windows 7 it will work for a while but then show a message in the bottom of the screen that says disk overloaded 100% does anyone know what this is or how to fix it. I have tried increasing the disk cache to 1000 MB but that only fixes it for a few minutes. Thanks.

How much HDD space do you have left? I have been running uTorrent now for over a week without disconnecting...

Not had that problem, sorry. Had utorrent installed since the beta and with it all on defaults. No issues yet that actualy relate to utorrent.

Right now I have 46GB free. I have got it to run for a while now by increasing the cache to 2000MB and unchecking the "Disable Windows caching of disk reads/writes" option. Also I did not have this problem on Vista or XP. Thanks for the response.

I get the disk overloaded message in XP and Vista too, so it's not a Windows 7 issue. The problem is mentioned in the FAQ on uTorrents homepage.

Using Bit Torrent. No trouble. Check your disk.

Are you partitioned with your torrents files going into small disk storage?

No I have it on my primary partition and plenty of free space. I ran a bunch of tests on my hard drive, with no errors. Increasing the cache to 2000MB apparently fixed it though. Thanks for the responses though.

Hi, This is a known issue on uTorrents side. For your reference: uTorrents FAQ (What does Disk Overloaded in the status bar mean?) Hope it helps.

I have not found any issues so far with Utorrent, but I did find this post useful to share with other I knew were having that same issue.
