turn off pc during windows backup
what would happen if i would turn off my pc while it's making a (scheduled) backup? will it wait with turning off, just quit the backup or stop and continue when you turn on the pc again? and how about putting it to sleep?

Dolor,There's a thread somewhere on this board where doing that caused the backup program not to run again, but I can't find it at the moment. So you might not want to try that.

Hi,I just happened to come across this thread. To answer your question, if you turn off your computer while a backup is running, the current backup will get aborted. When the next scheduled time for backup occurs, backup will run normally again. If the computer was asleep at the scheduled time of backup, backup will start as soon as the computer wakes up.Hope this clarifies. Thanks,Sneha[MSFT]
