trying to access 'Certificate Service DCOM Access'
My problem is I am trying to give a folder that I just created full control to 'Certificate Service DCOM Access' on my workstation. I do not have this feature is installed on my workstation. My workstation has has a windows 7 professional operating system on it. Basically I am trying to setup my workstation like the production IIS 7 server is setup. Basically I want to make enhancements to a C# 2010 web application and deploy the changes to my workstation. I want my workstation to act like production so that I can see problems before I put the changes actually into production. My workstation has a windows 7 professional operating system on it. I want to use the 'Certificate Service DCOM Access' since the production IIS 7 server uses it. Basically I do not know what the 'Certificate Service DCOM Access' user is for and where to obtain in from. Thus I am hoping you can tell me and/or point me to urls that will help me. Thanks!

Hi , Base on my research, Certificate Service DCOM Access is a feature in Certificate Services. More information about certificate services, please see: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa376539(v=vs.85).aspx In Windows Server 2008 R2 the name of Certificate Services is changed to Active Directory Certificate Services. Active Directory Certificate Services Step-by-Step Guide, please see: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc772393(v=ws.10).aspx As Certificate Services is a feature in Windows Server, in order to get the answer effectively, it is recommended to post a new question in the Windows Server Forums for further discussion. Regarding to IIS 7 server setup, I suggest contact the IIS Support. The reason why we recommend posting appropriately is you will get the most qualified pool of respondents, and other partners who read the forums regularly can either share their knowledge or learn from your interaction with us. Thank you for your understanding.Tracy Cai TechNet Community Support
