Are there any other open connections to that share? Have you tried making that doc shareable before trying to save to it?Mark Morowczynski|MCT| MCSE 2003:Messaging, Security|MCITP:ES, SA,EA|MCTS:Windows Mobile Admin|Security+|http://almostdailytech.com

Hi, Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following: 1. Check the permission settings on the share folder and the file you are editing. 2. Create another share and check if it works. 3. Boot the system to clean boot environment to check the issue: How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7 Thanks. Nicholas Li - MSFT

I have the same problem, Small office Peer-to-Peer network, with one computer holding the client info. All computers Windows 7 (64-bit), using MS Word 2010. Memory is not an issue, few applications are running, and all computers have Quad Core Processors, huge hard drives and at least 4 GB of RAM. Not an add-in problem, as that was the first thing checked. It is not a data execution prevention problem as that was also checked. The permissions are open to all the users so that is not an issue either. Even the computer where the share folder is residing cannot properly save the file in the share folder. Common error messages that pop up on all the computers are: "Memory is too low cannot save" & "File in use, cannot save." However, there are no problems with saving the file onto the desktop and then dragging it to into the shared file. This problem occurred almost overnight as of about 2 weeks ago. All was working well before then.
