trouble managing add ons
I began having problems after being on the google website. I didn't download anything, just looked at the site a few minutes. Not sure what happened next, believe I ended up with a pop up asking if I wanted to add MSN explorer to shortcuts. I clicked yes. That is when I ended up with a pop up underneath toolbar saying that internet explorer is running with add ons disabled, click here to manage, disable, or remove your add-ons. The first few times I clicked on tools, "manage add-ons" showed up in grey and would not allow me to click on it. Then I was prompted to download internet explorer 8, which I did. Then I was able to click on manage add-on's. It shows all add on's are enabled. Videos and players will not work. I did as it told me in the support section to turn off all add-on's and restart computer so they will come on automatically, which I have done several times. I have also gone into add and remove programs and found that google had installed google chrome and a toolbar on it's own. I was able to remove google chrome, but it will not allow me to delete the toolbar. It says error. The toolbar is not showing up on my page and neither is the yahoo toolbar that is installed. I desperately need your help in solving this problem. Your help will be greatly appreciated.2 people need an answerI do too

disable all your addons, from ie except the ones that are microsoft (verified) on the "run without permission" list. then go start, run, type: msconfig, on the tab that says start, uncheck anthing that you dont need to have boot with your ststem(antivirus, and hardware drivers stay clicked) next click the boot tab, and select safe boot, then apply enter, then yes to reboot. after it reboots, try uninstalling again, if you dont have antivirus, get it. never select intsall unless your sure of the program (why would google have a microsoft product? if you need adobe, do you go to apple?). also, dont go to sites youve never herd of, or cklick on links, when you dont know where they are going. hope this helpsmake sure when your done, to uncheck safebootbefore rebootin
